Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment that uses techniques such as pressure, movement and stretching to address muscles, tendons, fascia and other soft tissues.

At Aberfoyle Chiropractic & Wellness, treatments are provided by Registered Massage Therapists and personalized to your symptoms, comfort, activity level and goals. Techniques may include Swedish massage, deep-tissue massage, trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, sports massage and prenatal massage.

What Should I Expect?

Your therapist will review your health history, symptoms, treatment goals and preferred pressure before beginning. The treatment plan and techniques will be adjusted to your comfort.

You will remain appropriately covered throughout the appointment, and only the area being treated will be uncovered. Please communicate with your therapist if you would like the pressure, positioning or technique changed.

Mild temporary tenderness or soreness may occur after treatment. Your therapist may provide hydration, movement, stretching or activity recommendations based on your needs.
